Mission
The mission of the CJSAC is to generate statistical and analytical products concerning crime and the criminal justice system for the public, justice system professionals, and policy makers, establishing a basis for sound policy and practical decisions for the criminal justice system in West Virginia.
Goals and Objectives
Goals and objectives of the CJSAC include building criminal system ownership of CJSAC by encouraging its active and constructive participation in criminal justice research, and developing a more accurate picture of crime and the criminal justice system through objective data collection, analysis and publication.
Authorization
The Criminal Justice Statistical Analysis Center (CJSAC) is mandated under State of West Virginia Executive Order No. 3-97 and 42 U.S.C. 3732.
